“In times when we are broken-hearted, who do we run to?” he asked in his homily.

“We have a Mama who is our armor and refuge, who yearns for us all.”

The celebration continued with the blessing and distribution of the brown scapular, a Carmelite symbol of Mary’s protection and intercession. Students from all grade levels participated in the investiture, marking their place within the school’s Carmelite tradition.

Kindergarten to Grade 6 students were invested as Little Carmels, while Grades 7, 11, and transferred-in students were welcomed as Aspirants, signifying the start of their spiritual journey. Students in Grades 8, 12 and college students were acknowledged as Full-Pledged Carmelites, and students in Grades 9, 10, 11, 12 and those who have been part of the school for two years or more were recognized as Renewalists.

The ceremony emphasized commitment to Marian values of humility, service, and prayer. Students, faculty, and parents attended the event, which was held in the school gymnasium.

With hearts uplifted and scapulars worn with pride, the Consolatrician community walks forward — clothed in grace, rooted in faith, and united in the heart of Mary.
